BHM Degree Duration : 4 years (8 Semesters) The Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) degree at the college came into its current form in the year 2005. Unlike many other hotel management colleges in Bangalore, AIMS department of Hotel Management has developed a degree programme which suffices the student’s intellectual needs and practical experience in the field of hotel management. The programme hosts external trips to outdoor locations especially within the country for students to gain a first-hand experience in the ways and workings of the hotel industry. There are a lot of functions within the hotel management industry which a student can opt for, after their graduation from the college. The student can choose from front-office, pantry, room-service, administration etc. The Hotel Management department was established in the year 1994. Eventually the program began as three-year degree course, affiliated to Bangalore University. In 2000, it was redesigned to four- year program. From 2005, the BHM program is under semester scheme and has eight semesters. The Hospitality Industry is going through a huge metamorphosis- with the health and holiday tourism booming in a big way. Keeping in mind the changing trends and technology, the Institute offers value-added programmes, mentoring system and a well-established industry-academic interaction that are in place to fuel the rise academically.
